Frances "Francesca" Diane Censurato
November 19, 1952 ~ October 29, 2022 (age 69)
Frances “Francesca” Diane Censurato, 69, of Wellington, died suddenly on Saturday, October 29 at Mercy Allen Hospital in Oberlin, Ohio. Born in Wilmington, DE, to the late Guido and Irma (nee Avello) Censurato, Francesca grew up in Kennett Square PA, and spent most of her adult life in Elverson, PA, and recently moved to Ohio in 2016.
Francesca began her career as an educator at St. Mary Providence Center, a residential school for developmentally disabled girls and the Divine Providence Village in Springfield. She then began working at Berkshire Commons in their Alzheimer’s program, and finally she worked at the Kennett Senior Center with Alzheimer’s clients. Throughout her life she was a tireless advocate for seniors and those with mental handicaps and served as a sensitivity consultant for many groups.
Faith was the foundation of Francesca’s life, and she was an active member of the Kipton Community Church. A true caring spirit, Francesca was devoted to children, the elderly and those with special needs and disabilities. She loved writing and wrote, and told, great stories. Francesca enjoyed music and loved singing. A strong support to others, she was always available to offer an ear, and her support to those in need. Francesca loved to cook, and enjoyed opening her home and kitchen, to make meals for others. She will be remembered as a devoted friend a loving sister and caring aunt.
Francesca leaves behind sister, Cindi (Andy) Ciuffetelli, of Villages, FL; nephew, Andrew (Michelle) Ciuffetelli II, niece, Danielle (Harry) Burkhart; great nieces, Lauren, and Liliana. She is also survived by Micaiah and Rachel Barletta, whom she loved like her own children.
A service will be held on Saturday, November 12 at 10 a.m. at Kipton Community Church, 511 Church Street, Kipton. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington. Arrangements were entrusted to Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, Wellington, and the service will be live streamed on their website.
